| A great deal!
Ozone is soooooo, different from the run of the mill DSp's!
In case you haven't noticed.....MP3's, and Digital audio in general has very "hard edges" and a lack of warmth and space.....Ozone makes the listening experience much better.......and for 20 bucks (the price of a few beers down the pub) it's real value for the money! |

| Ozone is a solid DSP plugin, pretty much any song you listen to with Ozone running will sound better than usual. There is a wide variety artist, genre, and FX presets that help show how dynamic this product really is, not to mention that you can assign presets to certain songs and artists. There are three main features of Ozone that really make it shine above the other DSPs, those are: the Valve Equalizer, the Room Simulator, and the Tube Amplifier, each of these functions allows you tweak your audio to the specific sound you are looking for. Whether it's lots of bass, crisp vocals, or modeling the shape of your room that you're looking for, Ozone can do it. For those of you who aren't digital audio experts Ozone also includes a help function, which gives detailed instructions on how to use the different functions. Considering the price of $19 this is a great deal for the time being, I suggest anyone who takes their digital audio seriously download the demo and give it a try. |

| A very nice addition to any quintessential user. I tested a few different songs with it, it just makes the songs sound so much better, hard to explain.
I gave it 90 / 100 because it can be pretty heavy on system resources. I will be buying this though, worth every penny. |

| I gave it a 100 instead of a 95 primarily to help counteract the effects of the "50" rating that was given by the guy who rated it before trying it (da noiv o' some people...)! I would legitimately score it a 95, because I've NEVER seen the perfect plugin.EVERYBODY wishes a plugin had this or that, or was bluer or pinker, or larger or smaller or whatever. In my case, I think the controls could be perhaps a little more user friendly (or idiot proof, which ever term you prefer), and I'd like to see some re-sizability built in, but both of those things are completely trivial considering the benefits you reap by having this plugin in your system. You can read the manufacturer's description and believe it (for a change). I could go on & on about the good points of this plugin... but I won't... because I can say it all with THIS sentence... ANYBODY who takes their music seriously or has a thorough appreciation for music, regardless of stylistic preference, should have this plugin. |

| Well, I'm completely amazed by the difference you can hear. For me, it was just impossible to let the demo expire so I immediately took a licence. For only 19$, along with QCD, I get the best MP3 listening experience on a computer! |

| Very good plugin... too bad I don't have money.
Sound quality improves but the default settings make fast rock songs get all fuzzy in a way.
The presets are amazing and sound almost exactly like what they are described to be. |

| best DSP i've ever played with, my only issue is that it eats too much cpu and there's little information on which features to avoid to cut down on CPU usage. as i use a mobile notebook with graphics applications, CPU usage is critical both when doing intensive graphics stuff and for battery life. seeing half the CPU taken by QCD when this plugin is on is pretty frightening :)
i paid the $19 special price (what a deal considering anything even close to this good for winamp costs $50). it's totally worth it. |

| This DSP is an absolutely fraud!!!!
First: the trial period is only for 7 days, not for 14.
Second: You can not use the presets.
Be careful: don't download it!!!!!!!
Now, I have to uninstall it. |

| Finest DSP around. It works perfectly, it lets you use presets, and effectively enhances MP3 sound. Of course, shareware version is limited... I can not give it 100 rating since it eats a lot of CPU when used in conjunction with MAD input plugin... A pity. |

| $20 for this application is an amazing deal! I have monsoon speakers which are awesome to begin with, but when Ozone is applied to output it's just unbelievable. I've started having a problem with winamp output after years of using it, I reinstalled winamp 3 times no go, sound coming out was as if my speakers were overloaded, switched to Quintessential player, kept Ozone and no problems anymore. Sound is awesome, I'm sorry you guys can't get the monsoon speakers anywhere anymore, I was so worried mine are dying until I found the problem was with winamp.... |

| Ozone ===============================> 92
Nice clear sound. Pretty decent model of tube characteristics. Numerous useful presets. Adjustable compressor type controls to tailor the sound for individual tastes.|||
DFX7 ================================> 82
Good enhancement of all frequencies, especially in the upper range. Small amount of distortion. Good number of presets. Flexible control of sound using slider pots.|||
4Front OSS/3D R7 =======================> 74
Above average enhancement of upper frequency range. At times, tends to become distorted with bass frequencies becoming just a little sluggish. Good number of presets. Controls are good but can be a little confusing at first.|||| PS. I guess about a year or so ago when I first went to the iZotope website to purchase this for Winamp, I didn't realize that I was checking out the Direct-X Ozone for professional musicians. When I saw the price was around $250 (I think) a lot of not very nice words, somehow, started coming out of my mouth. Later when I went back to their site, I realized my error and happily paid $30 for the correct (Winamp) version. |

| DFX or OZONE for Winamp in QCD:
Install Winamp,no panic you don't have to use it, just install!
Install DFX for Winamp and activate it so it will work in Winamp.(Important)
Go to C:Program FilesWinampPlugins, for the DFX plugin copy the file dsp_dfx.dll in to the plugin folder from your QCD player, close the Pogram Files and start QCD. In the Mainmenu go to Preferences, then to Plugins, then to DSPs, check the box in front of the DFX file and click downstairs on configure, that's it!
Next time you start QCD,DFX will start up also.
For Izotope Ozone you follow the same instructions,first make it run in Winamp, then copy and paste from the WinampPlugin folder the file dsp_IZOzone.dll and the folder Ozone (in this folder are the presets for OZONE) in to the QCD Plugin folder.
This will work for most of the plugins that run in Winamp,first make them run in Winamp, then copy and paste the .dll files into the plugin folder from QCD. |

| For those who want things for FREE Downloaded Sound Solutions V1.3 from www.soundsolution.it - It's free professional and as solid .. It might be wise for forum members to refrain from recommending 'cracked' versions of legit. programs ... 1. you could be getting a VD ('virus in disguise') 2. 'cracked' version could mess-up your computers registry or operating system ... 3. remember when we thought there would never be any Peer2Peer mp3 download prosections??
Paid my dues and overnight I went from DFX devotee to an iZotope Ozone fan - hallelujah, mama, it's an MP3 miracle - I am a born again believer!!! |

| This plugin is incredible. I had to register just to let everyone know. There are so many options! Being an amateur "recordist" I really appreciate that iZotope allowed multiple "advanced" options for us users who like that sort of thing! Also, there are options to just...keep it simple. Here's a tip: If things are sounding to "pumpy" for you, a quick fix is to lower the input gain. Otherwise, lowering the "margin" contro (moving it closer to 0)l helps out as well
The room simulation is great; using just a little "wet" mix really fills out mp3's, especially for headphones. I like that there is an option to use the stereo widening without having any reverb.
With this plugin, even some of the older music in my collection has taken on new life. The fact that a plugin can make me appreciate older music again is much worth it. I will definitely plan on purchasing it with my next paycheck!

| Considering price/quality ratio and other dsp enhancers on the market these days: very, very good plug-in.
After installing i entered the world of analog tubesound. The freshness and a bit booming bass, wich can be altered by the equalizer, is what you get.
Good product! |
