I'm developing my Music DJ general plug-in for Quintessential Player.

This DJ can speak names of track, artist and album after playing started.

this is gonna be great but is there some one you could have the voice play before the song starts? so you dont hear the music over the guys voice :)

Sorry shaohao, it doesn't work on my home machine either (P4 730MHZ Win98SE). Neither mp3 files or streaming radio (spinamp or shoutcast).:depressed

You need Microsoft TTS installed to run this plug-in.

OK, I got the TTS installed (I had to install their reader first), but I still don't get anything when I play my mp3s :cry: . What else do I have to do? :puzzled: I tried the button on the left of the configuration window, but it just crashed my system.:nervous: HELP!

I've finished v1.0 release version.
Please check the plug-in page soon.

Now you can:
change the voice, rate, volume, output format--of course, you must have Microsoft TTS engine installed.

Speak it for local media & stream media

(Everything should be OK if you are using WinXP)

Awesom plugin, I have always wanted something like this. But there is room for some more improvement.

As mentioned before you should be able to have him speak before the song starts, and perhaps after the song has ended.

And I also wish to have a keyboard shortcut so that I can make him speak whenever I want to.

Its works well on my system. The rate and volume change options are really good. Its just that I cant seem to be able to understand a word he's saying :pirate: . Especially long track names and tracknames displayed in another language, it really comes out funny :D

Wish Microsoft can make it better.

This is a fun plugin but could be improved as others have mentioned.

Being able to delay the start of the track untill the announcement is done (or mostly done) would be good.

Also is there anyway to specifically set pronounciation rules for certain words? For example on an ABBA track (woo disco :biggrin: ) it prounces it A-B-B-A rather than aaah-baaa.

Hope that makes sense...
