here's the scenario:
extension 1 is mode menu
extension 2 is playlist
extension 3 is equalizer
extenaion 4 is encoder

2,3,4 overlap 1 in exact same place

is it possible to set extension 2 to be forced open when extension 1 is opened
but forced closed when extensions 3 or 4 is opened.

2 or 4 forced closed when 3 is opened
2 or 3 forced closed when 4 is opened

close all except 1

I've been playing with variations of opening and closing overlaps but so far have yet to make it do what I want

i've played with some scenarios that have extensions overlapping in the same place. from your post i cant tell exactly what your picturing, but generally speaking i've found it the easiest to deal with mutiple identical overlapping extensions by having a row of buttons for the extensions and opening the desired extension and using extnotoggle in your ini (i think betamaxx is probably a good example of this). it doesnt sound like you could get it to work exactly the way youre expecting without additional clicks and close buttons on all those extensions, but maybe i dont fully get what youre trying to accomplish.

i have tried to do something similar before and QCD did not have a way to do it at the time, but that was a while ago. it might be possible now.

There is no way to have extensions open and close with other extensions. That's something I have on my list for the coming dev's.

Agreed. If I ever do an overlapping extension skin... I want it.
