RealMedia Problems

Using the FAQ forum sction, I downloaded the QCD Video plugin, RealCodecs and the RealMedia Splitter as directed, but still I couldn't get any Real files to work. I also see a lot of talk of the "Tara" plugin that cures this. I'm new to all this - someone help? Please? I despise RealPlayer...!

Some people don't like it, but it has always worked fine for me. I also use Shao Hao's real codecs; I don't use the Splitter, so it can't be essential. Good luck!

Well done! If you haven't already done so, I recommend that you now get SpinAmp and Shoutcast Lister from the same website where you got the Tara plugin. There's loads of good real audio stuff to be played in QCD using these two excellent plugins.

Ooops...I doesn't work perfectly after all.... The plugin works magic on normal Real Audio, but with longer Real Video, it stands thare flashing in the playlist for 5 minutes before starting to play in the Video window. Any way to fix this?

Sorry, I don't use QCD for playing video, so I can't advise you.
