Can QCD go dockable? I'd love to see super-thin skins that dock to the top or bottom of my screen. That way I could maximize an application and still see the whole thing.

i second this request... maybe implemented in a general plugin?
I know theres one for winamp out there, so it can be done...

But I wont start untill Feb 1. because of exams... :( (I hope I can remember about the request by then... Am filling my brain with all kind of unusable stuff at the moment. ;) )

humm doesn't QCD already support this? I just checked with my MMD3 skin (by 2fast4u) in winshade mode and it docks on the top of my screen and on the task bar.

As I understand it they want it dock so other applications cant use the space where QCD is. Like the taskbar does. QCD does snap to edges but I dont thing this is what they want... or?

Another somewhat similar idea: auto-hiding, much like the Windows taskbar can do. Basically, it's invisible until you go to the edge of the screen on which it resides; then it slides out and slides back in once you're done. Neat, eh?

Neat, eh?That's a good idea, maybe you should put that in feature requests,I would use that more than the minimize button. That way I can get rid of my taskbar completely.(for all that are wondering I use desktopx so I can hide the taskbar completely and it doesn't reappear on mouse over).

You can get that effect if you use the Alpha plug-in. Just set it to 100% transparent.

it would be neater to have it slide in and then slide out to oppose to just appear and fade out.

Yer that could be kind of cool... A fadein/fadeout it almost as good IMO, though.

True, that's a good workaround, but I think the sliding in and out would be better; otherwise, I'd have to invoke ghost mode to make the area behind QCD clickable, you see? (And ghost mode, while nice, requires an extra darn click!)

I have had my half failed attempt at this plug-in on my computer for some time now and there still a lot of small issues I have to solve. :disappoin
It works quite well for me though when using the Aluminum Alloy skin resized so the main window plus the extention fills the whole width of the screen, so I thought I would offer (the brave) people a chance to try it out.

Note: The docking feature will turn it self of when an extention is opened (playlist etc.) or when the skin is changed! (This might result in the extentions not being place correctly.) If "Save separate player positions for each mode" is turned on, this should only happen once though.
To turn it on again right click QCD -> Plug-ins -> Dock.

The plug-in seems quite stable though (haven't crashed QCD yet) but if it do feel free to remove it (or report it and how to reproduce).

Ok first impressions, it ruined my icon layout :disappoin. Because i have so many icons on my desktop i have a kinda sorting happening where certain shortcuts are grouped together depending on what they do... So my icon layouts real important to me! But anyway, apart from that, it did indeed dock!

Sorry to hear that! Making a program dock like that makes the desktop size smaller so I guess the behavour is expected...

But a fair warning to others!
