Distortion with OGG

Hi there

I'm using .ogg files on my Palm Zire 71. I've been getting distortion, however. It usually occurs with louder parts of songs (however, I know that it's not just my headphones, because I keep the volume around 40%). My encoder is set to 128 kbps.... is this high enough? Any other ideas about what is causing this? I previously used a different encoder that didn't cause distortion (but also didn't let me set the bitrate myself).

mate this question has been here for too long to ignore :D i however can't help you :( the only thing i could suggest is try everything you can think of until it does what you want it to do . good luck man .
