Wow, why didn't i see this plugin before? Its amazing, QCD doesn't even need to be the active app. in order to play/stop/advance track/mute whatever. Check out how i configured it on my numpad (of course i need to press ctrl + the appr. button for anything to happen):

Have you tried the full-blown HotKeys application? You can create hotkeys for practically your entire system. Open apps, send commands, execute multiple commands, all sorts of good stuff. Plus, it allows you to assign hotkeys using any combination of Ctrl, Alt, Shift and/or Win (the Windows key, if your keyboard has one).
What's not to love? :D
(The version to which I am referring can be found here: http://www.broeze.com/hotkeys. My understanding is that there are numerous similar programs also named "HotKeys")

Not bad, that programme. Dont understand though why it uses over 5 megs of memory. Not that i dont have enough memory (320MB) Well, it looks like ill have to learn a whole new set a shortcuts :)

You are right in that-- it does seem to use a lot of memory for what it does. To be honest, I never really think much about it because, for me, it is such an incredibly useful tool.
Sorry about forgetting to mention that part!

I use MacroMaker - memory usage less than 2Mb. You can find it here:

There's a decent hotkey management module in Windows PowerPro - http://www.windowspowerpro.com/

Just use ctrl, right? :cheeky:
btw, its not really a bug. It's not a feature either. It just can't be used.
