I've pretty much got this thing figured out now, and it is just great. However, before you come out with the next version, there are a couple of small glitches I want to bring to your attention. The most important one (for me, at least) is the fact that when making new resonators to match skins, I get a "save aborted" message. This is on W98SE at home. The resonator does show in the vis window, but not in the .ini file. The next time I launch QCD, the new addition is missing. In order to keep it, I have to manually edit the .ini file, move the entry to the top position, and save it. When creating a new resonator in W2K at work, the whole procedure works perfectly.
The other problem (and I know it has nothing to do with your plugin), is that different machines give different colors to the skins. Example: at work Phazyme base is a textured grey and white stipples. At home, it's a rich chocolate brown. Making a resonator to match the skin results in different colors for different machines. Any suggestions as to how to work arround this problem?
Phew! Thanks for bothering to read through this long novel :) .

Your color settings on the two monitors are set differently that's why they differ .On my monitor I have the option to change them:
9300k,6500k,or user are the options I have.
If you are able to adjust your color settings try that to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks Heigar, but I don't think I have a control for that (that's a temperature setting, right?). No big thing, really, I'll just deal with it monitor by monitor.

that's to bad, temperature settings do make a big difference in the way your monitor displays color, well at least I tried helping,to bad there wasn't more I could do for ya.

Yeah, I messed up. I accidentally used a save feature that's not available on Win9x. It shouldn't be a problem to take it out.
As for the color thing, I don't know anything about monitor calibration, so I'm afraid I won't be much help. There are probably calibration utilities out there though.

Thanks plover.. Don't worry about the color issue; I've given up on that and, as I told Heigar, I'll deal with it monitor to monitor. The save issue on Win98SE, however is very important to me. I'll just wait till you correct this. (no hurry,I can work around it) ;)
