View Full Version : QueueIt request - shuffle queue

It would be great if there were an option to shuffle the songs in the queue (i.e. randomize), so that you can just drag all the songs from a few of your favorite arists into the queue in order, but then shuffle it so you don't listen to the same artist twice in a row.

Hehe nice timing with that request! I just started working on that a few hours ago because I wanted that my self. :D
It'll take me a few hours because Im also adding so when you drag&drop files from a Windows folder to the QueueIt window, QueueIt will automatically add the song(s) to the QCD playlist and to the Queue.

QueueIt 1.3 is in the update queue now, so it should be in the plugin section soon.

Doh seems like theres a "bug" en either B69 or the new queueit. I have removed the plugin until I figure out what is wrong...

Okay seems like theres a bug in B69... Right clicking on a track -> Play -> Queue It doesn't work under B69. (Unless more than one track is selected)
I'll "unhide" the plugin again.

Really awesome, thanks! But the randomizer doesn't seem to be 100% working... for example, if I throw 600+ songs into the queue and hit randomize, there will still be some areas where it seems like it didn't quite randomize. Like, #2 and #4 from the playlist are by each other. 11 and 13 are together, 17 and 19 and 21.
Seems like the randomizer sometimes just takes every other song in the playlist and moves them around, but some are still left in order. I can attach a screenshot if I'm not being clear enough.

Yer I know what you mean... Just did it the easiest way and its kind of a bad way to do it. I'll try to fix it for the next version. You could try randomizing it two or 3 times. Seems like it is better randomized after the second time. (I might make it do this by default and reupload... Im not sure right now)
BTW. Are you using B69? And if you do does the right click -> Play -> QueueIt thing work? (When only one file is selected?)

No, it doesn't work. And also if I put a lot of songs in the queue, select them all, and try to delete them, QCD crashes on me.

On the right click thing I dont know why it doesn't work in B68+...
How many songs (approx.) do you load and the delete? It has never crached on me when deleting from list, but I rarely have more than 5-10 items in the list.
Btw. thx for the feedback!

Well, I just tried to reproduce the load and delete bug, and couldn't get it to crash, even with up to 600 songs in the queue. Last time it crashed on me, I think I had several hundred songs in the queue just to test the randomizer, although I'll never need that many songs in the queue.
I'm glad to give feedback.... I'm just glad that people like you are so willing to keep improving their work. :)
