I am not a particularly big fan of American Football, or what I like to call "Grid" cos I can't be bothered typing A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N-Space-F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L. I just get real sick and tired of all the stoppages, ad-breaks and like "When the hell are they gonna start playing already???!!!" Rugby (Union) is New Zealand's national sport, and is my pride and passion (Go Crusaders!!!!). Of all the spectator sports, this is my top four:

1. Rugby Union
2. Rugby League
3. Basketball
4. Grid

Meaning: If there's no Rugby Union on, I'll watch League. If there's no League on, I'll watch Basketball. Only when there's no Basketball on, then I'll watch Grid. I hate cricket; it's even worse than watching the grass grow. I don't like batting sports, cos I don't consider them to be true team sports. And tennis, golf, etc are out of question cos I don't like individual sports.

Having said that, in credit to Grid, I would rather watch this than Soccer, or European Football. Yuck. I would rather watch a game with a squezillion stoppages where something happens than a game with no stoppages where nothing happens. I can watch Grid, unlike many of my friends. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of it, but I can watch it.

Anyway, on to topic. I dunno. The Colts may have scored more points than anyone else, but from my experience in watching sport, the best defensive side always win, and the Pats have very good defence. Also the Colts may crumble under pressure, just like they did against the Broncos. I dunno, I might be wrong. Besides, it was the Colts that pulled off that epic 38-35 comeback against the Bucs.

One last quote:
"...It all comes down to one thing: a Champion's team will always beat a team of Champions."

Pats are up 15-0 at half time....ridiculous. Peyton's thrown two interceptions. Marvelous Marvin fumbled on the ten yard line....yet, I see hope. The offense got in the red zone nearly every time, they just screwed up when they got there....it cant get any worse. High snap over the kicker's head. Inexcusible.

I guess you're just like us and the Aussies. We love underdogs. We love it when "craptastic" teams do well.

2003 Australian NRL Grand Final; who did the majority of Aussies cheered for? The Penrith Panthers. Why? Cos back in 2001 they were wooden-spooners (last), and 2002 they were 3rd from last. 2003 NPC; week six, Otago fans may have been stunned by the 49-18 thrashing at the hands of North Harbour (4th last the year before), but the rest of the country probably loved it - I certainly did.

Same here; one of the reasons I can watch NFL this year is in fact because the Buccaneers weren't doing so well, and there were teams like Chiefs, Cowboys and Panthers who were all wooden-spooners (I don't know if you actually have a wooden spoon) in their divisions last year, switching around to do so well this year, and I liked it.
