Hello all.

I too read the PCWorld article and dl'd this fascinating program...GREAT WORK!

Question: the article states that WMV, ASF, etc formats can be "recorded" off the internet.

I've been able to play but not record (or encode) streaming video...How is this done? Through the encoder?

I tried saving, but still can't play the file without internet access open.

Thanks for any and all help!

So the article at PCWorld is worded a bit vaguely... it says
The ultimate customizable, universal, ad-free media player, this one can play (and record) Real, Shoutcast, and Windows Media streams, as well as almost every audio or video file format. Just download the right plug-in for the task.
You can record audio streams, and I"m pretty sure only MP3 audio streams (it's under the configuration for the MP3 input plugin). But you can't record video streams (as far as I know), and I guess technically the article doesn't say you can, although it's easy to confuse the wording.
