Ok start with the player in full mode, push the button to go to small mode. while in small mode, open the media library and with the ml open, switch back to full.

on my machine the place in the player where the ML is supposed to be is just blank and its actually a seperate window.

same thing happens when switching from medium to full. shouldnt the proper behavior be the ML window closing when modes are changed so no blank spot appears in the player?

Yes it happens here too, but if you close the library window it goes back to where it is suppose to be..

I don't use the media library so it won't bug me at all, but I can see where it could be annoying!;)

damn, i must have just forgotten...i think its time QMP goes open source...it seems thats the only way we are going to get the bugs fixed is if we do it ourselves...
