QCDPlayer.exe Processes Not Ending

Every time I run and close QCDPlayer, it's process remains running in the background. When I first discovered this I had about 6 of them going and sapping away my memory.

It's very annoying as the only way to get rid of them is via Task Manager.

I am using Vista Home Premium 32bit and the latest version of QCDPlayer

that's not the latest version, vista wasn't invented when that was released :normal:

If you have any plugins installed, I'd also try disabling them & see if the problem goes away.

As Toe said, this is most of the time a problem with a 3rd party plug-in.

You click on 'Download QCD' on the main page, and that is the one I was currently using.

I tried to install that one and for some reason it completely refuses to have files associated with it.

I uninstalled QCDPlayer entirely and then had to reinstall QCDPlayer to remove the old file extentions still associated to it, and set them to QMP and QMP seems to refuse to let things be associated to them and after such association I get this wonderful deal:

It can play them via the program, but trying to click on them in their folder brings up that.

Also gone are my QCD File Adding options when I right click an audio file, great!

I can't wait to see how wonderful it is when I try to put in plug-ins I need that are old and outdated because nobody wants to develop any new ones for this slop.

I'm not sure I think you really deserve an answer after that last post, since people are just trying to be helpful. It's not like we can do magic or anything.

Anyway, try running QMP as administrator when setting the file associations.

Hi, Ive just installed Log-Me In Hamachi as I need it for some of my clients at work...

Problem is, it installs a virtual Network card and now when I start up BS its telling me my serial is not valid anymore because of hardware changes.

Do I just de-activate and re-activate? Whats the best way to do it, protect.exe?
