Audio/Video Sync

Hello all,

I have not forgotten QMP at all. I am back to throw in my two cents. I still have a problem with the audio/video sync within QMP. I must say that I have tested other players and they don't have this problem AT ALL and these other players include Winamp, Windows Media Player, Zoom Player, VLC and etc. The problem occurs mainly on machines with intergrated sound and/or video in QMP. QMP needs to implement on-the-fly audio/video sync because none currently exists. I don't care if it is user adjustable, but that would be a plus. :biggrin: Currently, it seems that the QMP developers are depending on the user loaded codecs to keep the audio and video in sync. This is sad.

I had some of that a really long time ago,,, what kind of files are you playing?

Do you have the old Shibatch EQ DSP plugin enabled? That plugin was known to cause sync issues with video. That's the why that plugin was abandoned, too many latency-related problems.

I mostly play AVI and MKV. I also play OGM and MP4 ocassionally. I have found this audio/video sync problem to happen with any video files. Especially, when doing "seeks".

I am using build 120. I did a fresh install. I don't have any old plug-ins loaded.
