Someone here will get you going but first, you need to give them all the info you can about files you are trying to play, what input and output plugin you are using and anything else you think might help us find out what the problem is. QMP only blocks files when the settings are wrong or if there is something wrong with that file. QMP will play almost anything if you have your settings correct.

Edit - Please include whether you are using QCD or QMP. QCD is the original player that is not being worked on anymore. It has been changed to QMP and the latest build is build 120. That is the one you should be using and you can find it on the front page below the QCD version.

Usually this is caused by a bad playlist file. Specifically, the files aren't at the location listed in the playlist file. A common cause of this is players that write absolute paths to the files. For example, if the playlist specifies that the files are at C:\music, and you move the playlist and songs to C:\my_songs, that will break the playlist file. Or if the files were renamed (using the file renamer in QMP's tag editor, for example) but the playlist wasn't re-saved to reflect the new filenames, the playlist will also stop working correctly. Either of these cases will cause the files to show up as blocked in QMP's play queue.

A couple others that can cause this: trying to play a stream that's down at the moment, or trying to play files of a format there's no input plugin installed (like trying to play AAC files without an AAC plugin installed). There's always a reason QMP blocks files, it's just a matter of figuring out what that reason is.

No prob. If you want to dig a little deeper into this, you could open the playlist file in Notepad (or any other text editor) & check where it's pointing to. You could copy & paste the contents here if you need help.
