Songs show 0:00 and won't play in QMP

Hey guys,

This has been a long standing problem for me with the developmental releases. I use MAD with ASIO out on my Revo 7.1 but this happened before I started using ASIO.

Any MP3's I rip myself with EAC work flawlessly. MP3's I get from elsewhere sometimes don't play in QMP. If I try and load them they show a 0:00 display and won't play. If I throw them in media player they will work fine. Is my best bet to use EAC to rip them to wav then back to MP3? Anyone else have this problem?

I can't say for certain on every instance but I think it's been both. I did just notice that if I try to edit the tags on ones that don't work it doesn't even show up. I mean the ability is gone from the right click menu. So it can't open the files at all? Not even to edit the ID3 tags?

That's what the tags say. I am talking about like one song out of a CD in this particular case...although sometimes its half a CD or more. I just can't seem to find a rhyme or reason to it.

mad 0.3.1 same result here [with your mp3s]
maybe there is a newer version around somewhere...

i am probably the wrong person to be pursuing this with
i use the standard mp3 plugin, wavout and no eq
qmp here is about as stripped down as you can get this side of CLI :biggrin:

I just tried the BASS plug in and all those MP3's play just fine too.
