View Full Version : Video file formats
Hi.....just downloaded and installed the player........saw review in PCWorld about it and thought it looked like a good replacement for WMP.
The PCWorld review stated that it would play almost every audio and video format.........to just download the right plug-in for the task.....
Thus far, I haven't been able to find and video file playback capabilities.
Was the review incorrect or what?
Thanks.......

Wellcome to QCD prepare to be amazed eh eh eh :DYou'll need the video plug-in ;) in order to play video files:
http://www.quinnware.com/list_plugins.php?plugin=33
Make sure you also have the codecs needed to play the file you want. You can get almost any codec from www.free-codecs.com (http://www.free-codecs.com)
Also if you have any doubts then ask away ;)

If your using 4.11 then you need to download the video plug-in from http://www.quinnware.com/list_plugins.php?plugin=33 it supports
ASX:WMX:WVX:WAX:ASF:MPG:MPEG:M2V:M1V:AVI:WMV
Thanks for the quick replies.......downloaded the video plugin and also the K-Lite codec download............player works great on audio......think I am going to like it alot........thanks again.....
It can play more formats than matty listed, provided you have the right codecs installed. For example, I've successfully played Quicktime MOV files with QCD. :)

OK, I've got all the plugins... still don't get video... the system recognizes that QCD wants to play the file, but doesn't play it. I'm running QCD 4.5...
What type of video are you trying to play?

I can't find the plugin for video playback. Under which of the headings should I look in the plug in area?

It comes with the player. You don't need to download anything.
