if it's in the 60Hz range it's probably coming from your AC line. try to keep your power wiring separate from other wiring and if they have to cross, do it at 90 degrees instead of running parallel

Have you guys ever let an audio cable run under your monitor? You know, one that isn't too well insulated. Hehehe, DONT DO IT! It screws up the monitor real bad, at least thats what happened to me two years ago. Luckely it was an old 15" monitor.

i've done this man and it still does it , it's definately the power cycling . i've tried line filters power filters and an isolating transformer . i've put all the info in other threads around this post (audiophiles)

The hum you are experiencing may be caused from what's known as an earth or ground loop.
The correct way to break an earth loop is to ensure that the audio system is grounded and to have a 3300 ohm resistor wired in line with the screen in the offending item's jack plug.
A hum may also occur of several peices of gear are racked close together.
Also, make sure you use good quality audio cables, preferably ones with XLR or TRS connectors, and a good shield.
