Power management strangeness

I have my monitor set to power down after 20 minutes (control panel > power options) but with QMP build 119 installed, it doesn't.

Oddly enough, it doesn't make any difference whether I leave QMP playing, stop it playing but leave it running, or close it, nor does it make any difference whether it's in full or small mode (I'm using the default skin), streaming or playing a file from the HD. The monitor remains adamantly on.

I know with a TFT monitor it's not that big of a deal, and I could always switch it off manually on getting up from my desk, but it din't oughter happen.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone even know of a solution???

What about a screensaver? I thought this issue was fixed... Can't check because im using linux.

Screen saver definitely shows up with QMP. Not sure about monitor powering off though. I'll have to try it sometime.

I never use a screensaver, but yes, if I enable one, it'll work. Still doesn't let the monitor power down, though :confused:

I just checked - oops - if I enable a screensaver then it works... and... the power-down works too. Ah. Serves me right for not checking properly ;-)

So that's OK then - if I choose a blank screensaver, set a minute before monitor power-down, then everything's just the way I want it.

Good workaround. But... still be better if it worked the straightforward way. Or when QMP finally gets a proper help file, I guess it could have a note there?
