As of B68 the crossfader (crossfading turned off, gap removal on, gapless playback on) has started cutting off the end of songs (not silence). I'm talking as much as 7 seconds+. What happened? I've had no problems until this build.

I've had strange bugs with gap removal too... but not just limited to this build.
Sometimes it would not allow me to go back to the last song played (maybe because it cut off more than the five seconds...), it would just keep going to the start of the song.
Oh yeah i should probably mention that im having the same problems as acozz... :)

If it always goes back to the beginning of the song then 3 seconds has passed in the song. Probably 3 seconds of silence since I've had no such problems. Just press previous twice to go back to the last song.

I think it only happened when i used to use a buffer length higher than 3 seconds.... it would skip ahead of the silence which would be more than 3 seconds and i could never get back to the last song... no matter how many times i pressed back in a row... neway thats not a problem now that i use a buffer of 2 seconds, and with this bug i'm not using the skip silence option neway.

Acozz is correct about the cause of this problem. I am working on a fix.

Just a new bug from the changes made to support very short files. Will fix this up.

Would it be asking too much to have B68 re-released with this fix? Or is B69 just around the corner?

I hope that your fix will correct the bug I just discovered...

When using Crossfading Directsound, if I disable the "Fade Out" in the Crossfade part, QCD freeze at the end of the song.

I guess there is still some adjustments to make. That's what development builds are for!

So its back to using wavout is it???
Nah scrap that im gonna use simple directsound till the fixed crossfading plug makes a showing
On that, maybe the fixed version could be posted in the playback plugins section on the site until the new dev build comes out?

I noticed this problem too at home (b68) but the same problem sometimes occur at work (4.11)

It seems to be random, sometimes the transition will work fine, other times it will jump squarely to the next with no fading.

I guessed it was a problem with maybe the CPU usage being too high that the output plug-in doesn't have time to build a long enough buffer but setting QCD's priority at High didn't help.

THere should be a separate priority setting for the Playback Plug-In Thread, that might help.

Was this bug ever fixed, or was it reintroduced in the latest dev build?
Because i just had a song which skipped in 7 seconds, and i couldn't get back to the last song, no matter how many times i hit back.

Yeah, this bug needs to get fixed. Time to do it.
