Stop it Please ! (media search)

For some reason B117 is trying to catalogue media on Drive G
Drive G is the card reader on my printer. There isn't a card in the reader, the printer isn't turned on and yet I have this pop-up that flashes "Refreshing Drive G" and on and on and on it appears. The Preferences don't have any reference to this card reader - anywhere.
So I'm at a loss what is the player trying to do ?
- and how do I stop it, it's driving me batty !!!!!!!!!

sounds like a watch folders or media library thing.
try disabling them and see what happens.

Nope - doesn't work
I'm still merrily, and constantly, searching the card reader in the photo printer for media files.
There are no 'Watch Folders' being watched or media library plug-ins enabled.

Perhaps a bug, once the search starts it doesn't stop until it's finished and it can't finish until all files are found and zero files isn't a number
