Mini Ipod announced

The mini ipod has been announced and surprise....its UGLY!!...wow, they took the non 3d image from photoshop and made it a device. Its ugly. It looks fake on apples site....butt ugly and $250 for 4gb is kinda expensive since you can get 15gb for $300...oh well itll sell liike hot cakes to dumbasses.

I don't actually have one, because they are a little expensive for my tastes...
If the price drop from these in Canada is noticeable, (ie, $75-$80 less or more), I may actually consider getting one...
4 gb is actually quite enough memory for me...
I doubt I would want more than 1000 songs to take around with me...
With only 4 gb the price of them will go down soon enough...

That's true. The Mini iPod needs to be a $150 device for it to sell. At $250 it is just a device for people who don't want to pay for an iPod to play their iTunes Store downloaded music on.

Look at the Palm Zire 71...
When it was first introduced in Canada, it sold for $450...
After about a month or two, the price dropped to $400...
The current price is $350...

apple doesnt lower prices until a model replaces it.

Until yesterday you could pre-order one on Amazon.com.
For some reason they removed them.
Maybe they were getting more orders than they could handle or there is some problem with the release?

probably too many orders. Im going to get a 4gb Rio Nitrus. Smaller than the miniipod, more features, double the battery life.
