I'm making a new skin at the moment, here's a promo image :)

Hey man that is awesome! Can you make the right eye visuals too (or instead of video)? Remember that you cant do alpha blending (anti aliasing) on the edges of the skin. ;) Keep up the good work. Cant wait to try it out!

I'll have an alpha version done very soon, so if anyone wants to test it out, let me know :)

Here's the link to the Alpha for this skin.
There are some problems - the visualisation window doesn't work, and there's a load of white fluff around the skin when viewing it infront of a back background.
If anyone knows how to solve these problems, please let me know!

the white is from the map being bigger than the body that is being drawn

K, I have the visual working, but I still can't get the white around the edges gone. I've tried 4 times now >.<

I'm considering inorder to sort out the white edges, putting Gir inside a sort of trophy case. Comments on that?

Dude, i think i warned you about that. You cannot use anti aliasing on the edges ;) The map.bmp must correspond exactly with the body.bmp

This is from your skin. Can you see now where the white edges come from?

Thanks fatal, but I just finished Fluid Masking the image!
It's all just about ready - only a fewminor tweaks to go now:

Remove Jaggies from Gir's legs

it isnt even recognized as a skin in the skin browser

i changed it from .qsf to .zip to open it and see what's wrong and get error from winzip saying it's not a vaild zip.....

Is there anything you suggest?

At the moment I still need to remove some white from the torso and legs, and also to put in the new buttons on the right hand side!
Apart from that, the only thing I need to finish is the track info display on the left eye!

you packaged it up with the skinkid.ini inside of a folder

the program (qcd/qmp) couldn't find it

the skin needs a playlist window at a minimum IMO
the main display fonts are too small as well

Even though it's not finished yet, I gave it to my granddaughter and she LOVES it. I also would like to see the playlist and media player skinned, but can't figure out how you would have them look and still keep the Gir theme.

Sorry for the lack of updates - I just got done with my finals for this term.
I'm going back to Glasgow for the xmas holiday, and I'll be back home on tuesday, so I'l have the playlist ready by then :)
