Anyone know how to get in touch with Bleu Canard? The link on his website is broken. I'm hoping that he will update the Audioscrobbler Plugin soon.

Hi Wolfsong and welcome to the forum! :)

Have you tried: pierre@bleucanard.f2s.com ? (Worked for me before but its a few months ago now...)

I actually just emailed him from the link on his site yesterday for another reason. That link was a hotmail account though.

He hasn't responded yet.

I also emailed him about updateing the current audio scrobbler plugin to work with the new protocol over a week ago. He hasn't responded to me either. Maybe hes on vaction for the holidays? I guess we'll find out if he doesn't reply in a few days.. in which case we'll have to find someone to make a new plugin for it.

Sorry about the delay, I don't check my hotmail account much at the moment !
Thanks for pointing out the changes to AudioScrobbler, I'll try to get around
to it as soon as we finish redecorating the house !

Well he has been posting data over the last 2 days to Audioscrobbler. I hope he posts the plugin soon because I'm already tired of Foobar & WinAMP. I want my QCD!!!

Bleu

Please look for an email from myself. Russ has a concern about the new plugin. Thanks.

Yes, it is done. It will be on the QCD upload list soon,
or you can get it from
http://bleucanard.mark1hosting.net/bin/QCDScrobbler.zip

I sorted it out with Russ and it works properly.

The link on bleucanard.f2s.com was not up to date, sorry about that.
Also, has anybody had any problem with QCD 4.11 and the scrobbler plugin ?
It works at home on Win2k, but fails to be detected on my computer at work
running WinNT 4 (it doesn't even appear on the list of plugins even after
reloading, rebootig, turning the power off, defrag the disk, etc etc etc)

I'm using B69 and the last 2 days it has been shutting down stating the AS plugin as the cause so I've been trying to find out why. Well today it's not even giving an error report and is just closing but I've noticed it's just after a
"failed submission" to the AS site. I've disabled the plugin for now, to see if it is the cause of the problem, and if it doesn't close in the next few hours will re-enable it and see if it happens again.

Anyone else having this problem?

I havent had any issues with the AS plugin at all. (Only plugin giving me trouble is the new alpha plugin...) I haven't checked if it ever fails to submit though so maybe Im just lucky. (Using B69)

I think I may have found the problem, checking the log there were a lot of failed submissions from the old plugin listed there. When I checked the cache there were 1100 tracks in there and all were failing submission. I renamed the log and the cache and I've had no more failed submissions and no further shutdowns, hopefully this was the cause.

:)

After a full day of use I have had no shutdowns/crashes of QCD so I'd say the cached tracks from the old plugin were definitely the problem

It looks like there is a bug in the program where it submits local time instead of GMT. I kept telling Russ that some of my submissions were not showing up and today I noticed that the order was just wrong.

Fixed in the new upload. Warning : I got my version numbers mixed up :
the latest one is 1.3.0.46, the previous one was 1.3.0.223 !

Seems like the Download 1 link on your HP is the wrong file. (second link is vers. .46 though)

The plug-in is crashing QCD this morning when it submits the first song. Anyone else getting this?

The crash report says:
AppName: qcdplayer.exe AppVer: 4.1.1.71 ModName: qcdscrobbler.dll
ModVer: 1.3.0.46 Offset: 00013f8c

Edit:
The audioscrobbler page says:
Back in a mo
Sorry, we're currently offline while we do some database maintenance. We should be back by midday (GMT) Tuesday.

So maybe the server returns a command that ain't supported by the plug-in.

It has stopped crashing now that the server is running again...
