So do you? :)

Frankly I dont but that may not come to a surprise to many of you. For me everything is based on chance. Sometimes you dont know what the chance of a seemingly impossible event is and one might attribute it to co-incidence but I believe there is always a logical explanation for the reason the unlikely event occurs. And that is based on the chance of it happening.

So for example, today Friday the 13th, I went to my bank and queued up with a ticket. Guess what my ticket number was? It was 667. I was that close to obtaining 666! And on friday the 13th. Would that have been co-incidence? I think not because chances could have been that 667 would be my target number or 665 or any other number. Also Friday the 13th is arbitrary. Any other day with some kind of significance could have been today and that doesnt make the event a co-incidence anymore. ;) Maybe I'm talking gibberish to you guys but I hope you see where I'm getting at. :grimreape

Yes I see what you are getting at.
No I don't believe in coincidences.
People ignore the 999 things that don't form patterns and remark on the 1 in a thousand.

Getting sick is a gradual process to my belief ;) It doesnt just happen like an accident ;) Also chances are that you must hav drunk too much that friday evening ha ha

Sorry, coincidences, coincidences! Woah, and as I wrote that I didn't even think of the thread.
Does that mean I take back what I said?
I think perhaps I mean it a different way then.
Um, because that original sentence about getting sick on a saturday is a line from the simpsons, where Homer says the chances of getting sick on a saturday are a thousand to one. I was using that to illustrate how people see chance.
However, what do you know, it's a saturday. And what do you know, goddamnit, I'm sick.
So in that sense, it is a coincidence that I'm in a thread about coincidences, posting a quote about being sick on a saturday and I happen to be sick on a saturday. But it equally well might not have turned out that way.

Must be a real bummer living in your parallel universe.
But of course I'm from Oz, a country at the bottom of the globe that's so far ahead of the rest of the world that we only trail behind such luminaries as New Zealand, Land of infinite Rings.

There you go. Saturday is, again, arbitrary. No co-incidences for you mate! Just sheer bad luck  Get well soon!

paraskevidekatriaphobia - or otherwise known as fear for friday the 13th. Try to pronounce that and you are cured ha ha. I missed this but apparently the numbers in 13/10/2006 add up to 13 as well. Pure chance! lol

I checked out what's new on the forums and there were two updates: hellooo there, and Your Room. So I thought I should put on some music, and the next track up was called Empty Room.

Er 48 atm.
I had a large play queue but I'm currently plagued by instability problems.
My play queue and its contents do vary somewhat as I add, remove and shuffle stuff around.
