Hello everybod-peeps.
Sheepeh is going to Australia in 5 hours time! =D
It's gonna be a real killer flight, 17 hours from Heathrow, London, to Singapore, then a re-fuel and on for another 4 hours to Sydney, Australia. Ouchie.
I'm going for 2 weeks, unfortunately Shewolf & I were not together at the time of booking the holiday so she's not coming  She's looking after my house and keeping the chav-scum away though, and I'll try and find a cyber-cafe to email and pop on and see how everyone is. Dunno how I'll cope without internet, I have GPRS on my phone but it's FAR too expensive...
Without further ado I bid you farewell...for now...

Australia sounds good right about now. Was the term 'holiday' discussed in the culture/nationality thread? Unless it's and actual holiday, I use 'vacation'.
You should see how long you can go without the internet.?

I was in Singapore airport about 3 years ago. Love the travelators everywhere. No need to walk. Very humid. Lovely palms everywhere.
Not too keen on the toilets (hole in the floor) there though. I found another option lol. I used the disabled toilets. :silly:

Oh i see that explains it. You guys are taking the heat away from Europe too soon. ;) August has been a cold (19C) and a very wet month here. July had the record of being the hottest month in centuries by +6C and August has the record here for being the wettest month by a century.

The first day of spring a couple of days ago was the hottest on record.

So it's real warm atm? Be nice for him :)
I got a text earlier..
Sheep and co got there safely and it was about 11pm when he texted me.
Typically he got pulled for a quick search at the airport lol and there was a problem at the hotel >< but things are getting sorted and they have had room upgrades for tonight.
I guess he is sleeping now, he was knacked lol

Heyhey, your reporter in the field checking in from the slowest computer in any cyber cafe ever, (probably riddled with spyware and viruses and all kinda other gumpf so if my account spams, it's not me ;) ) I'm using Browzar and it can't carriage return, so if Roj or Acushla or any other new mod sees this post can you tidy it up with paragraphs please? Ta muchly. So, we;ve done whale watching and Targonga Zoo so far, as well as museums and all the general stuff you do on Holiday like eating out and things. Next week, we're going to the Blue Mountains, and then we're climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge. We've done a tour round the Opera House too. I might pop down to the Coke Music Festival here tomorrow, as I'm staying right near Darling Harbour, it's easy to get to Circular Quay. For those of you who know what I'm talking about lol. I've emailed Wolfie with details and I'm running out of time here so I'm gonna sign off, and she may post stuff later. Or she may not ;) Seeya later! Sheepeh

Go sheepeh!
Let us know about the other little differences too - I hear our mackas are a little different to that in other countries. Be surprised if the coke exhibit was much different though.

Hey Sheepeh! (dont know if you will visit the boards again in Sydney but...)
Great to hear from you! Seems like you have a lovely time there. Be sure to take as many pictures as you can, right? :) I'd love to see the finer details of your trip. Dont worry about formatting, your post looks good. Browzar, you say? Damn controversial here. Most experts say it's adware or malware, which ever definition you like best. Just a paper wrapping around IE. Anyway, let us know about the Coke Music Festival. Cheers!

browzar is a g00d idea for travellers. just run it from your memory stick and leave no trace.
