View Full Version : Bug or a feature?
When i delete a song from playlist which is currently played, qcd stops it and starts playing another... that's pretty annoying :(
And when i click in my playlist "add - load playlist" and choose one of the playlists, it does not "add" it REPLACES :(.
and third... can i disable double, tripple, quad, quinta, whatever clicks... because i want to restore my qcd faster and do not have to wait for that multi-clicks?
4th... i know i shouldn't post this, but did anyone made "tray controls plug" to work in winxp taskbar?
thanks...

1. Huh?
2. Preferences > Media Loading > append files to playlist on 'Open'
3. Preferences > Tray Icon
4. For the silver theme... (I don't have to he blue one.) Sacve the atached file and use it as a background.
1. huh what? :).
i want that song to be played till the end...
2. nop, does not work. it's still replaced.
3. what did you mean by this?
if i remove some options, it still waits for some time before it minimizes qcd, like second or two, and it's annoying.
4. will try now, but i don't think that it will work.
so, all questions still not solved. :)
4. i want it in toolbar, not tray...
1. That's a feature
2. You can add a playlist in the same way than musicfiles
3. What Young Twig, was that there those 'selectable mouse functions' in there. Just select none to them

If you delete a song from your playlist, it seems like you don't want to listen to it anymore... pretty intuitive. It sounds like what you want is more of a constantly changing playlist - you might want to check out the QueueIt plugin, which creates a separate little "playlist" for you to put tracks you want to queue up, and once they're done playing, they'll be removed from the queue.
1. :(.
not very intuitive... if i want to stop the song, i'll press "stop" or "play next song" and then delete it from my playlist. if i don't want it to be played after song n-1 and before song n+1, then i delete it from my playlist.
why wouldn't my playlist look like this:
a
b
c
b
c
d
b
a
usualy i listen to some band, and when the last song is in playlist, i add another playlist/songs and remove that one... and it stops :(.
3. i do, but it still isn't instant, as if i make shortcut to it (or press the button with that command).

Have you tried the QueueIt plugin? Sounds like it'll do what you want (sorry if your "3" was answering that... not sure what you're responding to there)
it's not the solution, if it's what you described above...
btw, i solved the thing.
evoluted to foobar. :)

evoluted to foobar. Sorry to hear that... What ever fits ones needs best!! :)
I dont agree that a song should continue playing when it is removed from the playlist but I'd like it to continue playing when the playlist is cleared though!

I don't know why, but when I delete the currently-playing song from the playlist, it continues playing ...

Isn't that what's supposed to happen? Seems obvious to me really. If you dont want to listen to the song. First stop the player, then clear the playlist. :p

I installed the "tray control plugin". Works great. I made a .bmp and "buttonized" with slowview and looks pretty in the toolbar.

It seems that Paul took out this feature and changed it around.
I would have liked it to add the song(s) to the end of the playlist regardlesss of if QCD is open or closed. The reason for this is that it speeds things up. When doing programming the general rule is to make things easier and faster for the user. The reason that this is a good feature is say that you have a couple of songs that you just got a and want to listen to so you right click on them and pick Add to QCD. you may want to keep your current playlist for various reasons, this way you get your new songs and also keep your old songs. that is truly what is meant by Add. There is a bit of redundancy when the program is closed because Add and Play in QCD do the same thing
Bottom line in my opinion it should go back to the old way or have the option to do so.
As far as deleting the song and it moving to the next one, that should happen I think the only player that doesnt do this is winamp, the reason this makes sense is that it is a housekeeping idea. if you delete a song you no longer want to hear it anymore so it should move down to the next one
