I miss a feature of the old forum which was that you could see all the new posts on one page using the "1 day" feature.

Is there a way to do this with the new forum?

If not, some form of front page Forum Chit Chat ticker would be very useful. What i mean by this is an up to date display of the last 20 posts that updates as each new post is entered anywhere in the forum.

Have you tried the "View New Threads" item in the "Quick Task" menu? It is slightly misnamed and really shows new posts; I think it shows all posts since your previous login.

I have been using this link and it no longers appears to work. Today for example, it reported no new threads.

i've been using that link since the new forums started. but you have to close your browser in between or log out to refresh the cookie or some such. i haven't looked into it any more in depth than that

actually, it does seem to do another search even in the same login session. the only time i seem to get the 'no matches' message is when there aren't any new threads.

I have been having problems with the 'view new threads' because on the old forum,you had to close the window to go back to a new thread and on this forum, you have to click the back button. I always hit the close button and then when I reopen the forum and click view new threads, there is none to view! It is just a little hard to get used to but I'll get there!

i've been using one tab for the new threads page and then dragging the links to each thread to a second tab for reading them. that way i don't have to keep reloading a la back button.
