My New Website

This is the thread for your new websites. I thought some of us do webdesign too, and want to show their mockup before slicing it. (yes, I am working with tables, oh my god !!)

So I start with my new homepage (http://web74.enkar.de/etc/prev2.htm). (forget about the german text, it's just an intelligent Lorem ipsum)
Any comments, suggestions for improvement ?

I like it! Simple and still colorfull with a clean design, without being boring.

I haven't worked with webdesign in 3-4 years though, since programming is my #1 hobby.
I have programmed and designed a few websites though, but only www.netpsych.dk is running today. To frontpage is really bad, but rest of the site is OK for it's purpose. (A site about psychology and psychiatry)

But of anyone is burning in with a clean, professional looking site design they want to donate, Im all ears. ;)

Well Im not really a webdesigned, so can't really give much advice on webdesign :) Looks good to me, but so does your current site.

Thank you guys, I'll sclice it over the next days. I still have to practise (maybe I can make money with that during my studies ;)) - so if anyone needs a free non-professional webdesign, she/he can ask me...

I love webdesign I just suck ass at making the small graphics like borders and rounded bits....maybe I'll look up a tut over the holidays or something.

I'm not sure. In what way is it different? I still see green.

I'd go with the majority opinion here. I just don't like green, that's all. It IS clean. I like that. It's also in German. I'll need to ask Ant what it says.

Thanks ! For a friend's website...as soon as I have a first mockup, I'll show it to you ;) This is just the first attempt, I will show him both logos, but say that I'd prefer the first one as this was my favourite too.

MatthiasThey are both good, but without full knowledge of the context I definitely prefer the 2nd one.

EDIT: Wow...just read everybody else's opinion.

I guess it just goes to prove that I am the only artist here since I am the only one who got it right!:confused:

Mind you, you might want to stick with the other as you want to appeal to the masses...and not a small, elitist group with good taste! What smiley do I use for this?) hmmm...:evolved: :rolleyes: ;)
