I've downloaded Young Twig's "snow, and it installed and worked fine. However, when I looked for it in the skin browser, it was nowhere to be found! I finally found it in my internet temp files, moved it to QCD skins, and everything was hunky dorey. My question: how can I get the thread downloads to go to the proper files? All my other downloads (from the forum download page, the net, etc...) go to my selected folders.

did you right click on the download link, select Save Target As and point it to the folder you wanted? this works for me in both Firebird and IE

That's weird. What browser are you using?

In IE, by default it opens the *.qsf file. But, I always find the the file in the skins folder. For example I have snow[1].qsf on my other computer.

Using IE6 (no flames, now!). Getting the skins off the forum page is no problem. Look at drewkeller's response, and see how dumb I can get :o .

As long as DeltaGuy doesn't hears you are using IE you are safe man...

As for the right click thing... that's the way to go. It helps whenever you want to save the contents of a live link into your computer for offline viewing, well most of the times. Unless some smart webmaster is using redirect tricks...:(

Thanks to all you guys who responded. I really knew this all the time, but with all the places I've been downloading files from, this procedure seems to have slipped my (old) mind. Too much computer stuff to remember, I guess ;) .
