Howdy there in Quinland. I'm a recent QCD addict. After finding all "carputer" or "in-car-pc" media programs to be complete crap, I decided to make my own skin for QCD and use that instead. It is working out VERY nicely, however, I am experiencing the following problem:

I am unable to see the bass and treble sliders on the skin on my laptop computer. My desktop displays them fine. Is there an internal driver-related setting to enable the mixer? Do I need hardware support for the bass/trebble controls? Any ideas at all?

Thanks for your help guys!

It's a hardware support kind of thing, your laptop probably has an on board sound chip or if it has a soundcard then the soundcard doesn't support it.

Ah, that's what I figured. Any known way around this?

Looks like I'm going to have to remove the bass/trebble sliders from my skin :(
