When does History become right or wrong? Or does it ever?

On one side of my family, I am a third generation American. On the other side, I have English ancestors that fought in the US Civil War. My veins carry no blood from the People, aka Native American blood.

My beautiful wife immigrated here from the Philippines when she was 26. Our daughter, coming soon, will be a first generation American?

I think the Nixon administration created a classification concept familiar to many Americans -

Check One:
Caucasian
Hispanic
African
Asian
Pacific Islander

I think there was a book a few years ago, titled something like "When Did I Become Brown?"

This Marine would like to give The People the bomb. What would US immigration policy look like then?

It is sometimes written as two words, or hyphenated, but usually it just isn't written at all. (These days it isn't even spoken much).

I believe that little piece of stupidity has since been rectified.

Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. Please search for Race (U.S. census in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search/Race_(U.S._census) to check for alternative titles or spellings.

If it ain't white, it's black -

Damnit, it screwed over my ending parenthesis.

edit: okay, it's done it again. Add the closing parenthesis yourself after attempting to follow the link.

I lack belief in error.

Your post led me to...Definitions of whiteness in the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definitions_of_whiteness_in_the_United_States).

And I tripped over a footnote, (http://www.pbs.org/race/000_About/002_03_c-godeeper.htm)

Ah, yes, I believe I came across the first link whilst looking for my own.
The footnote is an expansion of a sidepanel on one of the wikipedia articles.

Ah, the fighting Irish.
