Fast Forward

I would like to have a fast-forward and rewind button, so I can hear the sound when i scroll in a song, like the buttons on a regular cd-player. I really miss this feature when I listen to mp3's. It also would be nice to hear the sound when you drag the playback progress slider. I have these features in some advanced mp3-dj programs but I can't use these as my regular player. Maybe It's already possible with Qcd?

When i use the wavout playback plug, i get this effect, so yeah, try that.

Hmmm, I don't get this effect on any of playbackplugins.

hmm i do get some pretty weird stuff happening on my comp sometimes, like the default mp3 plug miscalculating song times, and crashing when seeking ahead for longer periods, so i use the mp3pro plug. So, yeah, maybe another strange thing to add to the list.

personally, i've always thought it would be nice to have the next/prev track buttons do a fast scroll if you hold them down - a nice option to have if you don't have the pos slider handy.

If you are working with the playlist, why not use the position slider? But adding a rewind / forward button is a good suggestion.

Sounds like a great idea!! ...if it's possible. I few times, I found myself clicking & holding the RevTrack and NextTrack buttons to get the FastForward and FastReverse effect. Sometimes the progress slider is adequete, but depending on the slider's length and the song's length, the slider "falls" into certain increments and it makes it difficult to find your position.
