I was encoding a CD and i couldn't edit the Tag for it...
it would ask for a genre but the box to enter it in was blocked

were you editing the ripped file or the disc ?
(you can't edit the disc)
maybe you made them read all ?


did you use the cddb lookup functions?
what was the disk ?

For CD editing, the genre must be selected from the menu beside the genre field. Click the arrow button to see the menu.

If no menu appears, you need to be online the first time you edit a CD.

I fixed the problem frim the advice THX guys

I didn't go online when i encoded...
Now that i have there are No problems
