I cant get QCD to play real audio streams. I followed the instructions in the faq and I can play .rm files from my hard drive just fine.

When I try to play a .ram stream all I get is silence. The display shows it's contacting the server and buffering. Then it will display the bit rate of the stream. And then, nothing. There's no change in the time display and more importantly, nothing coming out of my speakers.

The stream I'm trying to play is http://wber.monroe.edu/live2.ram

It plays fine in other players, but I don't want to use other players.

I think you can only play real media from your hard drive when using the video plugin (I seem to remember someone saying that but I've never tried). To play streams you'd have to track down the Tara Real Media Plugin.

Since you installed the Real Player codecs I don't think you need Real Player installed. But be warned, some would say that this plugin is not very good. I wouldn't know as I've never used it.

Thanks for the quick response, but Tara's plugin give me the same result, no sound.

Perhaps I should make a feature request.

Wow, it works!

I needed to find new download locations for
RealCodecs11 http://users.skynet.be/bk343709/RealCodecs11.zip
Realalt11 http://ftp2.isu.edu.tw/pub/Windows/softking/soft/en/r/realalt111.exe

Many thanks. :D

The above link is indecipherable on my computer. It's full of html code. Is this intentional?

Additionally, I don't think the second link is alive any more either.
