Hi !
I would to congratulate about the quality of the dev107 !
Very stable, very nice. Well I love it !
If interested, please find below my feedback :)
* the playlist
1. the add button shows load CD for, well, plain music CD.
This morning, I wanna to listen to an mp3 cd.
So, I inserted it, fired the player and did add/load CD.
And it emptied my current playlist.
And I do understand why: the inserted CD was not a plain CD,
but a data cd with mp3 on it.
Well, I guess, a better solution would be to detect the data cd
and propose the user to choose a folder on that CD :)
Or list the first level of folder in the Load CD/<drive>/ menu.
Everything but not emptying the playlist :)
2. When a playlist file (not located in the playlist folder)
is dragged and dropped on the playlist,
the playlist file doesn't appear in the add/load playlist submenu.
It would be nice to add a reference to that new playlist,
or ask the user if he wants the playlist to be copied/moved to
playlist folder.
* the media library
4. double clicking on any node of the media library tree replaces
the current playlist with the content of the node.
The very first time, this behaviour is very disturbing !
You may loose your current playlist very easily
Maybe a confirmation dialog for the first timers would be a
good idea.
But maybe, it's just me :)
5. the playlist editor is quite hard to spot
(though very nicely done) : the raise/close button is quite
mysterious for new users. I think that feature deserves
its own button with media library, music browser and so on.
* General UI
6. Maybe I missed it, but it's not possible to dismiss the music
library to use the bottom space for, say, only the playlist.
It seems that the left pane (library, browser or video) is
mandatory.
Keep up the good work, guys !
