nice work for Sir Paul on QMP BetaBuild 107...after two builds (build 105 and 106) had a problem ( i never used it..just beta tested it =) ) it surpassed again and made even better...
but now sir as QMP is getting bigger and bigger...its performance is now being in question since it's kinda have problems on it.
transitions, animations has been too much...well for my opinion I never need those yet I was amazed with those things but it makes my machine slow down...
that's why I never used Windows Media Player
can this be fixed or have options to enable or disable transitions and animations to have best performance...anyway..i would like also to request support for Windows Program Access and Defaults, Global Hotkeys and a hotkey for Currently Playing Track...

I can't wait to develop a plugin that can make QMP the best of the best..
Thanks so much and take care...

You can make QMP as lightweight as you like by installing only the most necessary plugins ;)

I love the way QMP works like that, the animations, sliding stuff etc etc.

The only problem I have with it, and this is the ONLY problem at the moment, is I think it's too bulky. But everyone has their own opinion. I wouldn't mind if 107 was the final build tbh. Suits me.

Many people are still forgetting that this is a beta-release... wait another 6 months and i promise you can download a very stable QMP 5.1 with an improved default-skin. If you don't like bugs downgrade to QCD.

What Plug-ins have you added?

from the original ones? QCD scrobbler and MSN what im listning too. diabled all that i dont use DSPs, visuals, encoders, and half the input.

I dont think it is a plugin issue. I Think its a beta of ML thats very buggy..

I have B107 running on 2 PCs with no additional plug-ins and it is solid as a rock. No issues with the Media Library. In my experience, crashing issues (is that your problem?) are almost always caused by plug-ins. Try removing all the additional plug-ins and see if that solves your problem. Good chance it will.

What do you have to do to crash the ML?

no way!! I just have to wait to use ML til a paul figures out all the bugs..The lastest build is rock solid here. Perhaps if you are a little more specific, someone here will be able to help you. What "bugs" are crashing it, and what actions/operations are in process immediately before a crash?

Try updated your audio drivers/reinstalling XP (or whatever windows you're using)

That was my problem..I installed XP but none of the drivers for my PC, and QMP would come up with all kinds of errors or simply close itself and run at 99% CPU in the Task Manager. After I updated some drivers it still didn't work, and I had to reinstall windows anyway because M$ did something to it with the automatic updates. Anyway, long story short, try reinstalling windows or updating your drivers.

Can you tell me about the specifications of the computer you're using? I have reasons to believe it's a veeeery slow machine. Perhaps you'd like to settle with QCD 4.51.. :calm:

The easiest (and only one so far.) one to reproduce is if you click on anything three times (or more) in a row, instead of a double click. 100% crash

event log application error : ... qmplayer.exe, version 5.0.0.107, faliure adress 0x00009abd.
same faliure avery time..

i might play around some more tomorrow. I have amd athlon 3100+ (!), 1 gig ram, 9600xt, esipro juli@ soundcard. latest drivers as i know of.
