Anyway to use FreeDB rather than Gracenote

Just a quick question and a request for development if
the answer is no. Can you configure B106 to use FreeDB
instead of Gracenote ?

No, not yet.

There is no kit for developers to write plugins for the beta builds yet so when that becomes available, it will be possible to write a FreeDB library plugin if someone wishes to. However, it will only be able to be distributed on these forums (as opposed to the plugins page) because of the way Gracenote's Terms of Service work.

Gracenote's license explicitly bars any software using its service from using competing services such as FreeDB.
