I'd be interested to hear from the Canadians (and everyone else too) here about this article (http://www.ukcia.org/news/shownewsarticle.php?articleid=10494) I found.
This is wrong on so many levels.

gay marriage is legal in canada
medicinal pot is legal in canada
the population of canada in 2083, if the current rate of growth remains constant
will double from its current 33 million to 66 million souls.
that's a lot of homo file sharing hippies.

Thank you for bringing this story to my attention. I knew nothing about it until your post.
On face value it is indeed outrageous...not only in the way that over zealous,self-rigteous individuals so blinded by the outrage they experience for anyone who defies the authority of the state that the reality of a man with a serious disease whose use of a substanse they regard as personification of the devil herself, is completely overlooked.
The fact that Canada, who has granted him stay as a registered user, is even in dialogue with these sub-humans, is even sadder.
When I Googled this story all information ends on January 12th...seemingly with a Judge who is weighing in on his decision. He is reported as saying 'Could take a day...could take weeks.'
Will be interesting if enlightenment triumphs over ignorance.

Yes and no.
It is legal to download anything, movies, music, programs...etc., but it is NOT legal to put them in a folder where others can upload them from you.
Not that anybody here cares.
We have more important issues to deal with...like homelessness, affordable housing and the like.

That's some interesting info there. THIS SITE (http://www.kubby.com/) is particularly poignant. I'm afraid the ball's in your court though. There's not much I can do from over here. I'll be making a couple of calls though on Monday.

emails sent:
Sir...I will assume you are well versed in the plight of Steve Kubby.
I have one question to ask you: How would you respond if this was happening to someone close to you...a child perhaps, a wife...your mother. Yourself.
I ask that you govern yourself accordingly in this urgent matter.
Faith in Canada to 'do the right' thing,
