The Icon Manager control is not installed
For QCD icons to appear you may need to reinstall QCD, or if you have just installed, you may need to reboot you [sic] computer.

not too big of a deal except:
no icon in systray, just a blank space where icon *should* be
&
all QCD-associated files have "file type unknown" icon (somewhat confusing to less sophisticated windows users)
these problems do not occur when running QCD with admin priveledges, only with limited access user accounts.
