I searched the forum and could not find anything on this. I just recieved my XP Pro system today and I just loaded the new QCD build(66). I don't know if it's the XP Pro os or the new QCD build, but the scrolling title & artist info on the player is jittery( the text doesn't move smoothly)....more jittery than my prior windows ME system with vers4.11. This occurs, no matter which skin I use. No plugins other than the stock set are used. Anyone have any thoughts on this?? Thanks so much. Graz

anyone else notice this or have any ideas what it might be? thx
Seems some systems have a different resolution timer in them. I will have to add code to adjust the update interval depending on actualy framerate and not a predefined period.
In short, I dont think there's much a user can do to help this. =)

Thanks Paul....The graphics card in my brand new Dell is a 128 Mb Nvida Geforce FX 5200. I spent extra money for this upgrade but I just found out it has a low frame rate...darn. Thanks for the response.

The video card isnt the problem, your money is well spent.

I know you probably won't want to do this Paul, but I'll bring it up just in case. It would be really nice to have a little more control over the song title scrolling. In my case, I've got an enormous machine that rarely comes close to using its full CPU and graphics potential, so the update speed seems a little slow and jerky. It appears that the title is being moved over by two pixels, then painted, moved by two pixels, then painted, etc. I'd really like to have it move by one pixel each time so that it would be much smoother. I realize that this is purely cosmetic, but it would be a nice feature now that machines are getting faster and faster and such effects don't require as much of a percentage of the machine anymore.

Hi Graziano .. On my PC at work (an ancient ;) NT box), the titles scroll very smoothly accross the skin. Also works for me at home (Win98SE).

Thanks guys. Paul, thanks for making me clear on this.
Ace, my new graphics card isn't a top notch card by today's standards, but it's certainly better than my old 64mb nvidia geforce2 gts 4x which scrolled very smoothly.
