This is what I'm working these days..actually weeks,since college takes most of my time,life,sleep,psychology,eye-health..but I'm quite happy with Physics,anyway..This skin is/was (if he's still interested) for a user that wanted to use it for a touchpad screened toy.that's why it's huge.but also it's comfortable for 1152 and up usage.Everything is ready for the seperation to bmp's.I can't follow the forums too well but something's goin' on with the skinning engine,..resizable stuff.but this will be for 4.10.And after this risky skin,a colorful "small" series will come...in my mind.May the force be with you.

Note:I couldn't understand this forum's attachment style..but it seems like it needs small jpgs.the skin's original size is 800*600 with lots of realistic details..:DI like myself..

definately the weirdest skin I have ever seen...not that that is a bad thing, but I reserve judgement till its finiished...some incredible effects in there.

thank you..I'm just curious about the qsf size (a mini mode will be made) and memory usage.By the way any suggestions of features to add?(especially to the large lcd on the left-upper part.Artist-Song album name and so...)

actually if i remember, i think several other people thought it was more natural for it to work that way. but hey, it's your skin and i'd rather not interfere with whatever way you think it should be as the skin's author

Maresias, just wondering, do you use scanned images, materials, and digital photography in your skins cause the textures are so unique it must be so. just curious, really.

No,chicubs.All the things I have done,except Abell (that's a Casio),are made in photoshop (3 to 7) on a white new page.I use lots of zooming and lots of layers,filters and effects until I get satisfied.Other than all the Photoshop magic,the only third party plugin I use is the Eyecandy4000.That is all I ever needed.I was planning to get my hands into 3d programs but that thing was murdered by education!:D ..but since I am into physics,I am learning lots of crazy stuff each day,so when the time comes,QCD skinning will be more "real" for me.

By the way if any of you wonder,I am working on 2 skins at the moment (screens r in the zip)...this time both are full size.I don't like this forum's attachment style...

That's a much better picture of vb than the one in this thread. It looks like it will be a real keeper when you finish it. One question, what do the different colored arrows in the playlist stand for?

Hmmm..that's a trial actually.the green regular ones are the default track,blue is the clicked,fusion green is the currently playing..maybe,since it'll shape up when I get to the playlist part.If you're wondering what the boomerang shaped glass is,that'll be the skinned-vis with dots giving the beat..maybe.It's in beta state right now.Everything is ready,except me.:D Thank you for asking.Any better ideas by the way?

vb is nice, but its not for me obviously cause I dont need a massive skin, but it still looks quite nice.

the other skin is interesting....it doesnt seem close to being finished but its a good start.

Not being able to create any skins (I know absolutly nothing about programing) I really can't give you any helpful ideas. However, a mute button would be nice. If the final version is as big as it looks, it will go great on my 19 inch monitor at work. I hope you finish it soon.

Programming??? bah who needs it!!! thats one of the best things about the qcd skinning system... no scripting required!!! (well apart from a few lines in an ini...)

HA! Good point. As soon as I retire (very soon now), I will try to create a skin for QCD. It should be an interesting experiment.

Hey, i love it. Very nice design. :cool: Just one request, can you add a winshade mode to the skin? It doesn't have to be very fancy or anything, just something with stop, play, back, forward, pause buttons. That way i can keep it maximised on the desktop when using other programmes.

ace270,the blue button with a cross and a bright light on the bottom left,which will be off normally will be the mute button.the screenshot in the zip have it clearly as MUTE,so don't worry about it.(You're actually the only one person sir,why my whole skins in the future will have mute buttons,so expect nothing less..:p..I have a target of nothing but user-care in 2004!).

Rex_Mundi_Incarnit,since the skin loses a little focus being too big,a winshade mode will be nice,but I was thinking of two things,one is the winshade mode with the white lcd (MINIMIZE EXIT part on the upright) seperated and formed as a play controlled winshade mode,but in that case the skin will be partially for higher resolutions.it should be bigger like 500-600 px wide but in that case it'll be too big vertically.it must be a punchable place with...oooh,ok.I made it already in my mind thanks..just tell me what you would like to see there.:cool: Play controls + ?

Ok..I've done the vis thing and packed it..It was easier than I thought,no button bmp's and such..

So we've got a new skin here..since I'm late to my final exam at the moment,I can't prepare a screenshot in order to upload..but when I come home,the first thing to do is that..so see you soon.
And please,If you spot some mistakes,please write it in the forum so I can fix it.I hate to spot them on my own two months after the release...

Sorry, I don't really understand what you mean. I do think, however, that the special details on all your skins are fantastic. I usually use just the main parts, so I'm really not too concerned with the extended areas. Please make the new skin available as soon as possible.
