WHY YOU SHOULD CONVERT TO FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTERISM
* Flimsy moral standards.
* Every friday is a relgious holiday. If your work/school objects to that, demand your religious beliefs are respected and threaten to call the ACLU.
* Our heaven is WAY better. We've got a Stripper Factory AND a Beer Volcano.
I think his demands are perfectly allright if Intelligent Design were to be taught alongside the Evolution Theory. After all, all three theories are perfectly scientific. :silly:
But seriously this "Intelligent design" theory (which is unscientific in any aspect) is making grounds in America. I think it's a bad mistake. People just dont understand the evolution theory and resort to other "solutions". Bush included. If it were not for the scientific understanding of evolution, then would we be able to understand and develop:
1: Partial linguistic reconstruction of dead languages by examining genetic data.
2: The yearly flu vaccine. This would be utterly impossible without evolutionary theory.
3: Genetic algorithms for computing. For many problems, they are the fastest way of finding and appropriate solution.
4: Gene therapy.
5: Radiation therapy.
6: Cancer research and cures.
7: Bacterial synthesis.
8: Nanotechnology.
