Right, out of complete lack of doing something useful with my time, i've decided to make another skin (my 2nd one that is). But i've ran into an annoyance. I wish to know if there is an easy way of aligning the various skin elements symmetrically, for example getting the playback buttons on a single row with no pixel offset. I'm using Corel Paint shop Pro, but i'm sure that photoshop must have the same feature im looking for. Any ideas?

i use guidelines or in some cases i have different size grids made up that copy/paste into a layer and adjust its transparency to suit my needs

in photoshop, if you hold the shift key while moving an object, it confines that movement to straight horizontal/vertical lines. so if you duplicate a layer or line objects up directly overtop of one another, you can use shift to more easily translocate them.
