Crash on fullscreen vis

Hello, guys. I'm rather new to QCD, but I like what I see. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the visualization stuff. I can't view a vis in fullscreen. I can click the vis in fullscreen button, but it crashes. I can also open the vis window and expand it to fullscreen, but this crashes it too. :cry: :grimreape :grimreape Does anyone else have this problem, and more importantly, can anyone fix it? :-(

Never had it crash going to fullscreen, but there are drawing issues on the desktop that Paul knows about. Fullscreen vis's aren't the best in qmp/cd.

If you do a little search in the forums then you'll relise that this has been discussed quite extensively. But to answer your question, yes it makes my player crash too especially with the sonique2qcd plugin. It's a fact of life.

EDIT: You'll also realise that i am one of the few ever to keep going on about it ;) If you are looking for a very good external visualisation, then go here (www.rabidhamster.org/R4/main.php) :bulb:

Ahh, yes, but does your crash EVERY time? And are there any fixes or workarounds?

One way to prevent crashes is to map the hotkey for external vis to a button on the keyboard and press it when in full screen.

In preferences go to visual effects and choose a resolution that works for you. I have 800*600*32 and i get 30+ fps.

I've heard numerous people complain that qcd crashes after full screen but not before. I can't help you. The problem can be related to anything, video drivers, directx 9, windows settings, hardware, anything. That's why i gave you a link to an external 3D visualisation that will work in full screen.

My vis works just fine in WMP in fullscreen. <sigh>
