well, I understand that, but how does one resize the playlist? it's not a skin specific thing, is it?

the skinner has to integrate it.

the skinner has to integrate it.
that's what I figured.
why is everyone so happy? it's not like all these skins are integrated yet. yet everyone is pissing themselves at the thought of it.
EDIT: Oh, I see there's a new default skin. My foot tastes awesome!

Yeah, the streching is very nice....I can finally see a LARGE list of my MP3's. It isn't perfect yet however. Stretching is a bit slow as well as scrolling through the playlist (at least on my end) but I don't care. Might be my video card for all I know. I'm just happy that this addition is there. Also, has anyone noticed that the tray icon is "blank"? It works, but there is no icon...just an empty space. Oh well, its a dev release anyways. Either way, awesome!

You probably just need to reboot to get the tray icon working properly.

This next release of QCD looks indeed very promising by the looks of it. Also thx for having spotted that shuffle problem :D. EXCELLENT WORK!

I just LOVE the new build! GREAT work Paul!
A few things about the new remote-mode:
- can it be open not only in the KongMode, but in all three?
- can the time be shown in this mode?
Thanks :)

The Dev is indeed quite excellent.... just one thing I don't understand is the remote stick. What is the purpose? Why would we want to use it if the Kong mode must be on screen at all times? Is there a way to keep the remote stick on screen by itself? I guess in the end it doesn't really matter since the runt mode is pretty great already.

LOVE this new build... and the remote stick rules!
the main thing the remote stick is doing is showcasing the new always on top for extensions only... but it works a charm.
adding it to the other modes would indeed be kewl... and having it shown when kong mode is minimised would be sweet too... but im wondering the point...
and yay... i say again goodbye playlist scroll effect!!!

After a couple of attempts I realized that if you select always on top and minimize Kong the remote stick stays open...... I should have thought of this sooner. Needless to say the remote stick is incredible!

Personally, I'd like the remote to be a seperate mode, with a playlist. :)

In the kong mode, click on the little "R" button to the left of the Gracenote button.
It took me a while, too.

Actually, rebooting did not solve the problem. I just shut it off for now. I would like to see if others are having the problem however...or if it is just my installation.

The new dev 66 default skin is incredible! I like the new features a lot, like the remote stick. I only hope the screen area where track time remaining/elapsed is shown, the text can be less pixelated/better font. For the rest im very satisfied :)

After playing with the skinning possibilities of B66, I must say this is really going to change everything in a fantastic way. Originally we asked for a resizable playlist, but Paul was smart enough to make just about anything resizable, which opens up tons of new opportunities - most not available to other players either. The resizability combined with the draggability allows the user to customize the player's layout in so many ways, it's incredible. Thanks a bunch for the new features, Paul!

The way it's designed the resizer would only make it bigger, unless I shrunk down all of the graphics. But, I was kind of toying with the idea of putting play controls on the playlist section since you can now duplicate controls. That way you could have access to all of the main play controls and the playlist stuff on that section.

i'm rather taken with the playlist tray in the retro mode. i think these new skinning features are going to keep me entertained for a while -- lots of undiscovered possibilities. but i can tell you that stretching produces highly undesirable results on rotational sliders.

I've thought about that. :(

You could cut the playlist down to like 5 songs. Then the resizer would work nicely.

Another vote for the Time Fonts are ugly. That and the Playlist/Track, Elapsed/Remaining toggles, they look kinda lame I think.
Another problem I spotted, is when you are encoding, you don't see the title of the song currently getting ripped with the time position and all. This could be intentional, but I loved to see the timer going while it's encoding. Also a somewhat related problem, if the disk is playing and you start encoding, it asks you if you want to stop playback for encoding and when I click yes, nothing happens. I've popped in a lot of CDs before that would auto-play and told it to stop playback when starting to encode and it worked fine.
Also the Runt Mode should be resizable horizontally so we can see the complete artist/track name on longer names (Especially useful when turning on the time display)
Other than that, it looks promising...
Now if I can only find help with drawing clouds in Photoshop, I can probably finish my QCDDangel skin. A resizable playlist on that will look interesting considering the edges are eratic (Cloud)
