Hi weretiger; Ozone has some "issues" with QCD. The iZotope folks are working on the problem. In fact, they just emailed me about a month ago saying they were still working on it.
Ozone will actually "work" in QCD, that is, it affects the sound, the quirk is, though, that you have to open WinAmp to make any adjustments. Those adjustments will take effect when you open QCD, you just don't have the control surfaces to change them.
Its pretty cumbersome. Hopefully, they'll get this issue resolved soon.

P.S. BTW - I got mine to work simply by copying the Ozone folder from WinAMp to the QCD plug-in folder.
I've worked out the problems with the iZotope guys. QCD B69+ should work fine with Ozone.

Hmmm . . . I have the latest versions of QCD, (4.11 b70), and Ozone, and it still has the same issue it always has, that is, no control surfaces. :ermm:

Don't know about that - bad install? cracked version?

Just a thought - perhaps there's a difference here between the basic Ozone for Winamp, of which there has only been one version so far, and the full-blown Ozone, which as weretiger says is now at version 3.01. Perhaps Paul is talking about the former while the other contributors to this thread are talking about the latter. I have the basic Ozone installed, and it has full functionality from within QCD, but maybe the full-blown one doesn't.

Hmmm . . . I'm not sure what you mean by "full-blown". I know what that means relevant to a big-block Chevy. :D
I have the latest, bought-and-paid-for Ozone, this is the one they improved, so that it would minimize to the tray, of which the above screenshot is from.
Like I said, iZotope themselves, emailed me not long ago saying they were working on the problem, so it ain't fixed yet. :cheeky:
Paul: Are you using XP, or an older flavor of Win? I'm using 98SE.

Here's the link to the basic Ozone for Media Players:

And here's the link to what I call the full-blown version:

They are both paid-for, but the full-blown version is much more sophisticated (and therefore costs much more). There shouldn't be any problem with the basic Ozone for Media Players in any version of QCD - I've been using it for several years. My suggestion is that Paul is talking about the basic Ozone, and that this is why you and he aren't meeting up in the middle in this thread.
I have the full commercial version of Ozone. All versions have worked for me however.

Ok, I have the paid-for version for media players. Obviously, it would be silly for me to spend $300 just to use QCD with Ozone.
I hope that between Paul and iZotope, they get this problem worked out eventually. Its the last thing preventing QCD from being my default player.
BTW - I have this problem on three different computers at home, and two at work. So, I'm fairly certain the problem is in the software.

I did a bit more investigation into this problem, and discovered this: The problem with losing Ozone controls only happens after the music starts. In other words, I can activate Ozone, set its controls and presets, then start the music. The controls no longer "move" after that point. But, and this may be significant, they do respond. You just can't see what your doing. If you grab a slider and move it, it affects the sound, just the graphical representation of it doesnt move.
If you shut down QCD, and re-open it, Ozone reflects the new position of the control.
I'll let the iZotope folks know about this also. I sure hope this "bug" can be fixed. I really like QCD, other than this.
