Only works through 2 channels

I've just download the latest version of qcd player and find it only plays through 2 audio channels so I cant hear anything out of other speakers. Anyway to fix this? or is it best to revert back to wmp which supports more than 2 speakers?

Under Preferences->Plugins->Playback, select one of the DirectSound plugins instead of Waveout.
