GVB Updated

[Young Twig]

I decided to update GVB to give it a wider playlist and I ended up with some weird results: a 3 column playlist. This was because I forgot to update the trackset.bmp file. I then decided to make it a 2 column playlist because it was too wide with only onw column and 2 columns was unique.
What do you think?

I just started playing with it, and maybe I'm an idiot but I'm not sure what you mean by the 2 column playlist. Can you enlighten me :) Also, I noticed the pause button is a pixel off to the right, so that it scoots over to the right a bit on hover over.

PS - I like the Christmas version of your site!

Check out the third mode. The playlist is triple the size and has two vertical columns.

About the Pause button: Yeah. I don't even know how that happened. It was that way on the SysMetrix skin and has just stayed that way. It doesn't bother me enough to get fixed. :)

That's interesting. No one has done a text playlist with multiple columns before. In this scenario, QCD should number the tracks top to bottom, then left to right, as opposed to left to right, top to bottom. Something I'll think about.

Yer I thought it was a cool feature indeed but it got confusing really fast because of the left -> right sorting.

Wow, that's definitely cool. Hmm... Makes me think you could have a skin with a wide playlist and then buttons on the frame for switching between 1 column, 2 columns, etc.

Yeah. Definately top to bottom. That's be so much easier to understand. I was confused when I first loaded the skin. Thought I lost half of my music.

Hmmm... This would require either modes or 2 playlists/tracksets. The latter of which is not possible :(

Actually, the 2 playlist idea is cool. Without 2 playlists, there is no way to separate the 2 coulmns. Check it out... The map for GVB just has one WIDE playlist. If I put breaks in it, the text would be cut off, but I kinda wanted breaks in it. I wouldn't go add them now, but I'm saying there are some reasons to have muliple playlists.

I actually was thinking of having ANOTHER mode for a wide 1 comlumn playlist for "slower" people. But I was too lazy & didn't want to increase the filesize of the tiny skin.

Build 66 brought out one bug: The close button on the vis window wouldn't work. Buildd 68 brought out a slightly worse one... The artist, track and system messages wouldn't display... I finally fixed it. It's at my website.
