there is non russian encoding, when saving in ID3v2....
QCD read it right, but other players (such as winamp) or utils (f.e. tagsanner) can't

do you mean that QCD is able to read the russian texts but other players can't? I fail to see the problem then :)

Actually, there's already a couple bug reports out regarding cyrilic alphabet characters/languages.

No. QCD read it right. But when I write ID3v2 in QCD other players show unreadable signs :(
Look links...

it could very well be that those other players have issues with cyrillic characters... have you checked that?
or do other songs with similar texts show up correctly in those players, and only the ones tagged by QCD give problems for them?
Was it UTF-8 or UTF-16 that QMP writes its tags in? Some players support one but not the other.

I'm trying to find out, if QMP has anything to do with it.. were those files (which displayed incorrectly in those other players) tagged by QMP?

I think my recent problem is similar.
To get QMP to display the Japanese symbols in my songs, I went to Control Panel -- Regional Settings and enabled the displaying of all languages. It worked for some weeks until a couple days ago. Now the text is just garbled acsii. I disabled the foreign language text display options, rebooted, then enabled, rebooted, but no good. :P
I don't have another program I can think of texting this service with.
Any suggestiongs? :o
File a bug report?
I want to be sure if this is a problem exclusive to QMP, first.
